More About Our Presenter:

Kathleen B. Shannon, MA, LCMHC, is a licensed psychotherapist and coach with 26 years of clinical experience across the Department of Veterans Affairs, workers compensation, community mental health, and private practice. Based in Black Mountain, NC, she directs the Institute for Soul Ecology alongside her private psychotherapy practice, and is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Her work is grounded in the understanding that genuine change requires adequate conditions before it becomes possible. She works carefully to establish safety and genuine relational contact before moving toward deeper levels of change, incorporating clinical hypnosis alongside other depth-oriented approaches as tools for creating those conditions. Her longstanding clinical interest is in what actually produces durable interior change rather than symptom management.

Outside the consulting room, Kathleen is a writer, an avid hiker in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and someone who believes good conversation is its own form of clinical practice.
